Hosting Websites
Purplenova Web-Server allows you to Host Web-sites developed using any technology (HTML, DHTML, Java Script, Flash, etc). Hosting a web-site is as easy as a drag-n-drop. (For sites developed using server-side technologies,

- Create your website and keep it in any folder on your PC
- Drag and Drop the website folder into the Purplenova window, making the folder instantly web-accessible.
- Designate the ‘Home page’ (the page to which your domain name should point to).
Your web-site is automatically submitted to a number of search engines and RSS feed directories when you host using Purplenova. This drives more traffic to your web-site.
It makes excellent sense to host a sub-site (with sub-domain) using Purplenova, even if your main web-site is hosted with a data-centre. You can put rapidly changing information on Purplenova and also provide links to your main web-site. This impacts positively your traffic ranking and search ranking.
In addition to Web Sites, you can also host Photo Albums (such as those created by Picasa), host documents and files of any type simply by dragging and dropping them into the Purplenova Window. Purplenova does not make copies of your ‘hosted’ content, unless you explicitly cache your web-site on our Servers. The web-site continues to be accessible with the same Domain Name / URL whether you cache it on our servers or its served from your PC. Caching is for limited time (1 month). You can choose to host ‘Privately’, in which case your site / files / data is not made available to search engines, and will be delivered over HTTPS. |
