Hosting Web Apps

Purplenova makes it easy to make an internal LAN application accessible over the Internet. Your application does not need to be modified, and can continue to run it as it does on an internal Apache / IIS server. You can simply Proxy to it using Purplenova, thereby making it web-accessible.

For example, say you have a Bug-tracking system, an internal Human Resource system or CRM system running on your LAN, and you want to be able to access it remotely over the Internet (including over mobile devices). All you need to do is install Purplenova on one computer on the LAN, and select the relevant local server / application directory that you want to make web-accessible. When you do this, only the specific application that you have designated becomes web-accessible in a secure manner. Outsiders do not get generic access to your LAN.
