Getting started with Purplenova

Registration and Login

1. Launch "Purplenova" by double clicking Purplenova Icon on your screen. The following window appears.

2. Click on "New User? Click Here to Register" the following window appears.

3. "Purplenova Upgrade Options" window will appear. Select "Launch Funcaster" as shown below.

Basic File Sharing

1. To share a photo, video or any file click on "Publish" as shown below.

2. Select the file you want to share. Select the options "Private" or "Public" and click 'Ok".

3. The file path will appear in the window. See below. Your file is now available for readers to see. Right click on the file and select "Copy URL".

4. Send the URL to someone you want to share the file with via e-mail or via chat.

Creating and embedding billboards on social networking sites

1. Click on "Billboards" icon in Purplenova Window. See the screen below.

The following web page appears.

2. To see how your billboard will look on any of the social networking site, click on "click here to see this user’s billboard". See below.

All your publicly shared photos, video etc appears in the window on the left hand side.

3. To add this billboard to any of the social networking sites listed to the right, please select the appropriate link. e.g., If you are a member of Orkut, click on Orkut.

4. Enter your e-mail and Orkut password and click post.

5. Your widget will now appear on your scrapbook in Orkut.

Some sites do not allow you to embed widgets on to your personal page, in that case you could copy the URL listed below and send it to your friends, so that they would be able to view your shared content via widget. Please see below.

Creating Funfeeds Once you set up "funfeeds", your friends will automatically know of any of your newly shared content, such as photos, videos etc. To set up Funfeeds, use the following steps.

1. Click on "Funfeeds" icon in Purplenova Window. See the screen below.

The following screen will appear.

2. On this screen use your most frequently used e-mail ID and its password. (For example, if you are using Gmail more often and have most of your friends communicating with you on this e-mail ID, select Gmail).

3. After you enter the ID and password, a list of your contacts will appear on the screen. Please see below.

4. Select the names of your friends you want to share your photos, videos or other information regularly and Click on the button "Send Funfeeds to selected contacts".

5. That’s it. YOU NEED TO DO THIS SET UP ONLY ONCE.
